Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy

• Understand the short term and long term strategy of the organization and define the goals for operations department. Implement & manage operational plans.

• Plan for the plant capacities to match the future demand and work with projects department for capacity increase& co-create Manpower Planning along with HR.

Manage Production

·   Plan production activity along with other departments such as Production, warehousing, pricing & distribution of goods.

·   Monitor Performance & implement performance metrics in co-ordination with Top Management. 

·   Monitor the deviations from the planned production for the plant and help them in taking corrective actions

Manage Quality

• Be instrumental to implement quality strategy for the plant & ensure zero deviation from the quality standards for all the product

·   Adhere to Quality standards & monitor operations Productivity.

Manage Safety

·   Ensure that importance is given to the safety measures in all the plant

·   Support and provide guidance to the EHS head and the EHS team to strategies the EHS initiatives

·   Monitor the EHS activities in the plant and suggest improvements based on the internal audit and

Maintenance

• Ensure the performance of the maintenance department of each plant

• Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance heads of various plants

• Support Plant Maintenance Head in key maintenance issues

Projects

• Provide key inputs related to operations during the project implementation/expansion phase
